Seattle Mariners Weather Playbook: Marine Cool, Retractable Cover
Home advantage
T-Mobile Park's roof slides overhead but does not enclose the sides. The Mariners primarily use it as a rain cover. Games with the roof deployed still see outdoor temperatures and wind at the field, which is different from Rogers Centre or Minute Maid. Seattle marine air and low dew points keep carry below humid-park averages even on clear nights.
Division road environments
AL West travel gives the Mariners Angel Stadium marine, Oakland Coliseum bay wind, Globe Life Field Texas heat retractable, Minute Maid dome-roof, and Sutter Health Sacramento heat. The team travels from one of the coolest marine environments to one of the hottest inland climates repeatedly.
For DFS and bettors
Marine air makes T-Mobile one of the harder home run environments in the majors. Warm dry stretches in late July and August are the friendliest window. Rain delays and roof closures do not materially change conditions.
