Angel Stadium Weather: Anaheim's Marine Layer and Dry Heat

Angel Stadium sits in Anaheim about 12 miles inland from Huntington Beach. Summer weather is warm and dry: July averages around 85 degrees with dew points in the low 60s. Marine-layer clouds and onshore flow keep evenings cool relative to inland Southern California cities.

How wind plays here

Center field is to the northeast (bearing 30 degrees). Onshore southwest wind, the dominant afternoon flow, blows out toward left-center and center. Wind speed rarely exceeds 12 mph. The park plays as a mild pitcher's park in dry marine air.

For DFS and bettors

Consistent conditions night to night make Angel Stadium easy to model. Dry air and cool onshore breeze suppress carry versus humid parks. Santa Ana wind events, which happen in September and October, reverse the pattern with hot dry offshore flow.
