Home advantage

Target Field opened in 2010 in downtown Minneapolis. April games regularly play in the 40s, and snow delays are possible in early season. Downtown Minneapolis channels wind through the park, making it windier than average for a Midwest venue. Dew point swings widely depending on air mass.

Division road environments

AL Central takes the Twins into Chicago lake-breeze days, Cleveland lake-effect cool, Detroit summer humidity, and Kansas City plains heat with the new fence configuration. The division is one of the more environmentally varied in baseball.

For DFS and bettors

Dew point matters more than temperature at Target Field. A 75-degree game with a 45-degree dew point plays like a mid-60s game for carry. Warm humid summer nights with south wind are the friendliest hitting setup.
