Atlanta Falcons Weather Playbook: Mercedes-Benz Stadium Retractable Roof and NFC South

The Falcons play in a retractable-roof stadium in downtown Atlanta. Roof closes for the majority of games because of heat, rain, and cold. Open-roof games are less common than at Dallas or Houston.

Division road environments

NFC South road trips into Carolina moderate, New Orleans fixed dome, and Tampa Bay warm humid. Weather variance is limited across the NFC South compared to northern divisions.

For DFS and bettors

Closed-roof Atlanta games are the norm and produce neutral indoor football. Open-roof games would signal preference for moderate outside conditions.
