Truist Park Weather: Atlanta Summers, Cobb County Setting

Climate

Truist Park sits in Cumberland north of downtown Atlanta. Summer conditions run hot and humid: July averages around 89 degrees at Hartsfield with dew points frequently in the low 70s. Afternoon thunderstorms from the southern Appalachians reach the park through early evening from June through August.

How wind plays here

Center field is to the north-northeast (bearing 25 degrees). Southwest wind, the summer default, blows out to center and right. The surrounding hills around Cumberland limit wind speed at the field to typically 8 to 12 mph.

For DFS and bettors

Warm humid air and south wind combine into strong carry conditions throughout Atlanta summer. Rain delays and evening thunderstorm risk are the main variance. Watch the radar closely for late afternoon games in July and August.
