Citizens Bank Park Weather: Philadelphia Summers, Hitter-Friendly Dimensions

The Phillies' park sits in South Philadelphia about three miles from the Delaware River. Summer weather is hot and humid: July averages around 87 degrees at PHL with dew points in the mid to upper 60s. Afternoon thunderstorms are common in June, July, and August.

How wind plays here

Center field is to the northeast. Southwest wind, the summer default, blows out to left-center and center. The park's dimensions favor pull-side power for both hands, so wind out to either corner amplifies the built-in hitter-friendly setup.

For DFS and bettors

Warm humid nights with southwest wind are the highest run environments at Citizens Bank. Cold-front north wind days are the main downside. The park runs above league average for home runs in most conditions.
